Jacqui Davies a member for over 13 years, has just completed her first marathon in London on 24th April 2016.

She attributes her running success to her disciplined regime including her strength training within the gym. The hydraulic resistance machines are very straightforward and work each individual to their maximum potential with total body toning. She also benefits from one to one training within the gym and injury advice when needed. She has developed excellent muscle tone with strong core strength( we have three abdominal machines) which assists her running technique.

"After having knee replacement surgery I found I had lost my confidence, with "normal" type of gym equipment not helping me. I decided to try Simplyfit Wallasey.

The manager Jayne, who has all the qualifications in exercise for advising you, made me feel so welcome, giving me one to one instruction. I started off (with help) on two pieces of equipment. Within two months I was going through the whole programme, feeling stronger and fitter than I had done in years. My confidence had grown so much!

After having my second knee replacement the following year, I found my recovery far quicker having been to the gym before and after the operation.

Since January this year, Carol Edwards has combined circuit training (building up of core strength) with step 'n tone classes. Her flexibility has also increased through Zumba classes which has helped her to achieve a fantastic loss of 2 stone in weight and a reduction of 31 inches. Carol is not alone with this achievement, many more of our ladies have achieved amazing results!

The addition of kettlebells to our circuit training has certainly assisted our members in achieving their desired results!
